Your Home Energy Assessment questions answered
Do I need a HEA to get an SEAI One Stop Shop grant?
For homeowners considering multiple energy upgrades or applying for the One Stop Shop service, a home energy assessment (HEA) is useful. It provides both a BER rating and a technical report detailing the energy upgrades needed to get your home to a B rating and better.
If you are aplying for a Green Loan, a HEA is mandetory.
How do I know if my home is eligible for a Home Energy Assessment?
- Was built and occupied before 2011
- Have not previously received grants for the same home energy upgrades
- Your home must achieve a minimum post works BER of B, plus either have installed a heat pump or achieved a primary energy uplift of 100 kWh/m²/yr. (We will work this out for you).
